This soup is so good that the pharaohs even saved the ingredients in their tombs to be well-fed in the afterlife. This jar will certainly last a while but don't wait 3000 years to enjoy it! 
Serves 6-8 

Directions

  1. Add contents of the jar to a large saucepan.
  2. Add 8-9 cups of water and bring to a boil.
  3. Lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until lentils are soft.
  4. For a true Egyptian experience, blend until smooth. However, this step is optional; it's just as good a little chunky.
